I think the Walmart MSI deal is better. Less screen size (15.6)/hz (120) but better processor and a 1660ti for $50 more.

The strength of this laptop is if you want a 144 Hz 17" monitor. Another consideration is if you have the Costco card you get an extra two year warranty and tech support.

I just need something for zoom calls, Netflix, seeing pictures for shopping and spreadsheets here and there. I think the monitor is the most important part. I am not good with computer specs anymore. Is this overkill? Do you know? And TY for taking the time to answer!

This is overkill as you don't need a dedicated GPU for basic tasks.

Is this around best price for this? My local costco has it - so no shipping charge if i get it instore, plus that store in NJ is in the special tax zone - so tax rate is half. I'm thinking just pick it up - hold it till next week - don't open the package, in case i see something better during black friday.

They opened up an unit in my local store for display - pretty nice look/feel.

Very confused ... i got it from costco .. and model number on box says 10SCSXR-448 .. but costco website says it should be 10SCSR-448. Googing on MSI website didn't help - i'm going to hold off opening it - just in case i like something else better by BF. But costco guy said, this should be right one, and in case i don't like it - try it for 3 months - and they've a 90 day return policy.

My understanding is difference between this one and the other one bit cheaper on costco should be GTX 1650 Ti vs GTX 1650 chipset.

I saw a 15 inch legion at costo - around $1K i think - that one looked built quality wise tad more sophisticated compared to MSI. But the costco models - MSI 17 inch was much cheaper $750 vs legion 15 inch which i think was around $1K.

i don't remember the spec - was just looking at build quality - Legion was definitely better built - they had a 15 inch unit out. Dont remember exact price but it was $1K range - i was just looking at build quality so didn't care about the price. Regardless of the spec, i think the body/build is same for all Legion line. It is better build quality vs MSI. I know they're more expensive line than MSI. I've checking Legion prices as well for similar 17 inch directly on lenvo website - about $200-$300 more for Legion vs. similar MSI.

So went down $50 (i see thread title updated). Went back to costco - and no issue with price adjustment. So i got this MSI 17 inch for $700. Last week got it for $750, and today got $50 back to the card.

Why isn't this deal getting more love? Great screen with refresh rate compared to most HP, ASUS and Acer models in this price range. 2% cash back on CC and 2% on Executive members savings.

Is this the specification for the model number you got (https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GF65-Thin-10SCSXR/Specification), tbh I am afraid this will happen to me as well but It will be very hard to me to return it since I am going to ship outside US. Are there any details printed on the package saying the specification for the model you got? Also are they doing false advertisement? Why you got GTX 1650 instead of GTX 1650 Ti?
