Are you sure, this is low end for $300? I think 18mm thickness is really good for $300 that too from ESPN.

You can get a 15mm table for $120 @ Walmart, so $300 is pretty high for not much more.
Indoor tables go up to 25mm, so 18mm is pretty average. a 20-22mm table would be considered mid-range.
It's up to you to make the decision whether it's worth it...

Two major differences this is a 2 piece and the one you are referencing is a 4 piece which is low end stuff, 2 pieces are better. 18MM is really good at 300 for 2 piece. The only issue with this one I can tell is installation seems to take a few hours according to the reviews. I am looking for a 2 piece and the best price + least install time is the Joola and Stiga on Amazon both $399. They are 90% assembled out of the box so install is maybe 30 minutes as opposed to the others at 2-4+ hours.

Reading reviews I don't think the assembly is that bad... I would not pay $100 for that one to be assembled. Even then the STIGA and JOOLA's are $399 on Amazon for 15MM

I would pick easiest install the JOOLA and STIGA on Amazon are like 30 min installs at $399. To me my 3-4 hours install is worth 100 dollars.

I've been shopping around for a table awhile. I think there are only a few manufacturers. I believe the Joola 15mm and the ESPN 15mm are the same table with different branding. For 284.97. Search for "ESPN 2-Piece Official Size 15mm Quick Match Table Tennis Table, Indoor, Blue". The setup looks almost exactly like the Joola
