lol, $80 for the container...$150 for the anova itself is good, but count the container as a $30 value. great deal overall though

Good deal. I happened to walk by it at Costco and immediately picked one up.

Had I known I was going to pick up a sous vide machine, I would have jumped on the Food Saver vacuum sealer a couple weeks back. Any chance vacuum sealers will go back on sale in December?

You can get a quality vaccum sealer for $30 from Amazon. But unless you want to freeze, for cooking you can just water immersion to create vaccum for cooking in sous vide.

Will the Anova sous vide unit fit inside that container for storage? I have a different model that I store inside a Rubbermaid container, very handy. I do have to use more water to reach the minimum height than I would with a smaller container, but the easy storage makes it worth it.

Is the Sous Vide machine itself model number AN500-US00, as seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Anova-Culi...07WQ4M5TS? I bought that one for $139 but I haven't used it yet - $10.99 extra for the container would make it worthwhile to return & get the Costco set

Great find! I ordered mine from Target to get 5% off with my Red Card but with the coupon it would be $15 cheaper at Amazon (tax is almost 10% where I live). After tax I would pay about $129 at Amazon or $164 at Costco - I don't think the container is worth that extra $35 to me. Thanks!

This versus Joule on sale at Amazon for 149.99? Joule doesn't come with container but is 1100 watt versus this is 1000 watt. Any recommendations?
