I've been waiting for this to happen ever since the merger was announced. You can now swap out your SIM card for free at any former Sprint store and move over to the T-Mobile network. It took me about 10 minutes to swap two phones. it does not change your plan.
Anyone have more info on this? That article lacks a lot of info! My two main concerns are- Can some lines on the plan switch while others do not? Anyone have a current list of phones that work?

I have 2 providers sprint and Mint (t-mobile)
In my area Sprint actually has better service. My Mint mobile doesn't take advantage of sprints network but will t-mobile if I swap my Sprint Sim over? I am skeptical if t-mobile is taking full use of sprints network.

You can switch over 1 line at a time if you'd like; it's not all our nothing. I have 9 lines on my account (originally a framily plan) and only have switched over 4 so far. I do plan to do the rest though.
I did it on my unlimited kick start plan and so far I like it better than sprint service. The manager told me if I don't like TNX I can go back to sprint, but I think I am staying on T-mobile. He said that T-mobile is converting all sprint towers to T-mobile, so sooner or later you will have no choice but to switch to GSM.

They did send me home with the Sprint SIM cards, but I suspect switching back would be harder.

SWAC is supposed to work though the reps spent 2 hours on mine with no luck.
