I've been using my S7 edge for the past 4 years, still running like a champ.
S7 here. Had to reset it earlier this year, and the battery is starting to drain quicker than usual. The wifes S7 took a shit last month, she needed a phone quick and ended up getting the S10e for $400 at MS.
Years of bing points paying off, -$250 each phone.
S21 will be launched in January 2021 which is much more earlier than usual. It's better to hold your money for three months for a better value. And there will be no Note update next year. S21 will support S-pen as well.

support, but not able to include in the body like the Note line, personally I don't care about the pen but some people do
but it make sense to push people to buy the fold series
glass back is a crappy move to make it harder to replace the battery.. they use adhesive to seal the phone and you sometimes need heat to remove the adhesive, and if you heat stress glass, it could crack.
glass supposedly feels premium and also allows wireless charging.
not that i agree with it, it makes phones even more fragile when they are all glass.
But I remember forever when Samsung had thin removable plastic back every reviewer could never stop whining about how they didn't "feel premium" like probably apple.
