I have the original (bought at BF deal last year), and they're not bad, but there are a few niggling complaints that I'm hoping later versions address:
- The buds are fine for hearing calls, but nearly every person I've ever called with them complains that it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel. Terrible microphone.
- Battery life is about par with the spec on the buds themselves, but I've started to notice weirdness with the charging case, where it starts to show yellow (meaning 60% battery) after recharging the buds from only an hour of use.
- To boot, the charging case will obnoxiously blink red supposedly when it's at 20% or below. For all intents and purposes, however, if you don't charge it then and there, it will be dead by morning. My guess is that the stupid thing will just keep blinking until it exhausts that remaining 20%.

Refurbished buds plus are 59.99 on best buy
That doesn't sound like something I wish to pay for.

Yeah I lost my buds plus but still have the original tips so I'm good
And there are tons of reviews saying that the Buds plus has way more advantages than the previous ones. so I am assuming your ears aren't so sensitive after all. Based on the statement you posted.
