Not saying one product is better than the other, but one company makes nothing but audio products, another is known for portable battery packs and charging cables...

I own 2 of these and 2 party box 300. One word of caution for DJ-ing is the audio lag on these specifically. Almost 1 full second of lag, keeping them out of sync with headphones plugged into a mixer or controller (this delay exists even when using the wired connection) so if you are comfortable mixing In The headphones only can be a great solution. If you like the one headphone tactic it constantly sounds like a train wreck.

For those of you just looking for decent sound on the relatively cheaper end, Costco has the ion Pathfinder 4 for $90. I imagine this JBL has better sound but I wasn't overly concerned for a party speaker. I just bought it and it was a huge hit. Has an IP rating, wireless charging, bottle opener and some fun lights.

edit: adding link

I have this and its more than enough for my needs never goes above like 50% volume or I would be upsetting neighbors. Also I read it has a user replaceable battery (not supposed to be, but apparently easy to do)

I was torn between this and the other item they had that is fully waterproof, but this one won for me because the battery and the phone charging.

Edit: I have the Pathfinder 3 not the 4.

My brother has one of these and it sounds great.

Been looking to buy one and almost jumped on it when it was $250. This is awesome for $200.

I've listened to a few Bluetooth speakers, and unless you're just looking for something that very portable (not saying this isn't, it's just bigger than most), I think it's very hard to beat this for this price.

It also sounds fantastic for karaoke if you're Asian and into that kind of thing Big Grin
My brother also has a Bose S1 Pro and it sounds pretty similar. I would say audio wise, the Bose sounds cleaner, but definitely not $400 better. I actually prefer the JBL for karaoke.

Just an all around great buy for $200!
What else do you need to turn it into a karaoke machine?

They just released the 310 with splash proofing, a retractable handle, and wheels.

The sound appears to be slightly improved as well as app connectivity & features.

Unfortunately it's currently $500, while the 300 is on sale for much less (like $300 I believe).

I will likely wait until Spring to get a 310 for the pool deck, etc. Not paying retail ever.
Nice! Totally missed that. Will keep an eye on it and hope to snag one when it goes on sale. Appreciate you pointing it out!

Just a microphone. Note it only has one mic input, so you'll have to come with your own method for using more than one mic. Of course you would need your music source as well. We casted YouTube to the TV and used the aux output from the TV to the speaker.

I'd say we're more picky than the average person, but the built-in echo effect was sufficient for us. I believe there's 3 levels of adjustment for that.

We found it sounded significantly better when "sound boost" was turned off for karaoke.

Well, you are comparing apple and orange here. JBL is top brand on audio equipment. On other hand Anker is genetic china brand with decent sound with cheap price.
Sorry... I don't really find that very informative quantification of why one of the other. I've been happy with Soundcore speakers and ear buds thus far as I have been with the JBLs I have bought.

Sometimes, I agree with paying more for a name brand... In this instance, why should I?

Maybe you could quantify it by extrapolation. He contrasted the two, and said the Anker has decent sound.

I want better than decent sound, so I may buy the JBL.

Does anyone know if this has jbl connect +? I own a couple jbl flip 4s and an xtreme 2 that ive been using synced together at outdoor gatherings and its been pretty decent for providing a large sound stage but if I could add this to the mix, that would be a little mobile concert

I got this for 250 a couple weeks back from bestbuy and it sounds really good. Surprised me for sure. The bass is amazing and punchy. Just saw that target has the same sale. Ended up purchasing it and got it with 5 percent off with my redcard. Also got the 2 year warranty for 24 dollars.

I got one and it's perfect for home use. They can be paired up if you have 2. The 100 can mount to tripod and the 300 can't. I love the fact that u can take it camping or tailgating with built in battery.

I did say Anker speakers sound decent. You got what you pay for! In addition, people has different taste in music. Some people like Bose with less treble and more bass. But for me JBL sound the best in both world .

Here is a video comparing both speakers. Hear it for yourself with headphone on. The ankers lack of treble and sound muddy compared to Jbl.

Tell me what's you JBL speaker bought comparing to your Anker's speakers ?

I don't think you can pair them together. I own jbl partybox 300 and xtreme.party box 300 does not use connect plus.

Why the JBL over the Anker Soundcore Rave?

https://www.amazon.com/Soundcore-...B07YRNJVDQ

The one in the link is renewed, but I think WM has them for 200.

Edit. Yep. $200 at WM.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Anker-...SellerId=0
The difference is one of them is a true $199 speaker, and the other is a once $300-ish speaker being offered for $199.

JBL PartyBox 100 is the king in this category.
