I have one of these. It's generally a great monitor, but a couple things to be aware of.
1. The stand is huge and you'll need to take into account the desk space to place it.
2. If you decide to desk mount it, you need to find a really heavy duty arm to hold the weight of it. I have a loc Tek D7L arm which barely meets the weight requirements.
3. It isn't super high DPI. It might bother you if you're used to high density displays. It's the equivalent of 2x 27in 1080p displays side by side
4. It's curved, but the extreme sides (like the outer 5 pixels) will be dim and color shifted because you're off axis just enough. Not usually an issue while gaming, but for productivity could be annoying.
5. It's gsync capable, but can be fickle. I sometimes get some annoying flickering.
6. The HDR isnt great, it doesn't get bright enough to make much of a difference

Using software like Fancy Zones makes it an awesome productivity monitor, especially since you can define a 16x9 "full screen" zone in the middle and keep 8x9 windows on either side. I use it for work during the day and play FFXIV on it in the evenings.

There are two other Samsung double wide monitors on the market, the CRG90 (a 2x 1440p panel) and the Odyssey G9. The G9 is newer and has a more extreme curve and features full on Gsync support. Both of those also support HDR 1000. They're also 2x+ more expensive than the CHG90
3840x1080, for those wondering about the resolution..
3840x1080 resolution, I don't think it's worth buying with that resolution.

This is one of those monitors that you have to see to understand. It really is beautiful and looks/feels great - even at lower resolution than many.

Any other alternative? Or is this the best at this price...for light gaming, color accuracy and work.

Is this thing worth it for the new consoles or will it just get the sides cut off with black bars?
