Looks like Amazon has the 14 piece with free echo dot back at $199 as well. You won't be able to check out with PayPal for $10 cash back and won't get the security yard sign but it's a free echo dot. I can't decide which to pull the trigger on..

got this last time and so far so good.
something to watch out for during shipping is that they will send you the 10 piece kit and separate additional pieces. well, with those additional pieces you might get charged for faster shipping even if you have prime. I had to chat and put my foot down to get that additional shipping back.
i did have 2 different motion sensors trigger a tamper alarm in the middle of the night. a simple open and close of the sensor fixed that. so, at pairing when you pull the first time plastic battery tabs you might want to open and close the sensor.
ebay has good prices on additional pieces like 2 contacts for ~$25, motion for $20-25, and others.
you do not have to buy the gen2 first alert smoke alarm with the scanable QR code. you can use the gen1 without the QR code. ~$30 ebay
The Ecolink garage door tilt sensor can be had for $16-30 ebay.
when it comes to the dome sensor, it definitely is NOT worth $40. battery operated and not loud at all. they can sometimes be found on ebay for $20-30. i plan to hack a couple with a relay to trigger a siren horn.
if you get the ring cam, there is a known bricking issue where when you set them up and they immediately update the firmware they can brick. I did have to exchange one.
if you get the Lighting hub, there is a known issue where the hub will not communicate with older android cells during setup when it links to your cell to get your router ssid and password. if you have that happen just use a newer cell or tablet.
if you have keypads chime in addition to the hub they will be slightly out of sync (if even tells you this). sounds like an echoing effect.
if the keypad red wifi light comes on then you need to use the plugin range extender between the hub and keypad. rule of thumb if you have a good sized house you want to use one repeater in each room or so. additional can be had for $20-25 ebay.
i use the new ring keypad 2nd gen for both ring and smartthings. to differentiate between i put a transparent colored dot on the ones for smartthings.

I have a smartthings motion v3 with magnet stock to the inside back of the mailbox. using Rboys smartthings device handler for the ring keypad and also his chime device handler when mailbox motion is detected a ring keypad is sounded and i get an alert notice on my cell.

I too have a prewired system and the contacts are hidden in the door/window frames, hard to tamper with, and therefore worth reusing. On the other hand, I definitely have more than 8 contact sensors, maybe more than 16 :-(
(There might also be a wireless contact sensor for a location where they couldn't get a wire run)
It won't
