Thanks Op. Good deal on a well reviewed center speaker. Also, matches yearly low price according to CCC.

This is a great price for this speaker.

My opinions on the speaker however are mixed. As long as your expectations are realistic, this is a great deal. This center channel, as part of a decent 3.1 or 3.0 setup will of easily outperform a "premium" soundbar system costing much more, and for many people that is enough.

My reservation is based upon the output that these tiny speakers are able to produce. If you are space limited to a very short and shallow center channel, than this is the product for you and it will perform well. If you have space to accommodate a larger center channel, than you should. Even two 4" or 5" woofers can outperform these little guys.

To be clear these are not bad speakers and this is a great price, but if someone tries to tell you it will match performance of a larger center channel be very cautious and understand the displacement limitations.

If you have large bookshelves or towers these will get overpowered. As long as your front channel/bookshelf speakers are sized to relatively match this center, than go for it.

I have two Infinity towers and got this as a center speaker because I don't like the look of a wall mounted TV, so I can keep this on the TV console without blocking the image. It was an upgrade compared to the lack of a center speaker (dialogue is much more clear), but it doesn't sound as loud out of the box, compared to my larger center (Pioneer C22). After Audyssey calibration, the weak output was quite improved. I am overall happy with the result, considering this is a living room and not a dedicated theater room.

I bought these last year to mount on the wall next to my 65" tv as stereo speakers. I already had a center channel and a dual 12" sub. The sound is not amazing but better that anything you will get from a sound bar.

I have a Boston acoustic 225C center speaker in a 5.1 setup. 2x 5 1/4 drivers with 1 inch tweeter.

This one has smaller drivers but more of them. Would this be an upgrade?

What would more drivers deliver in comparison to larger drivers?

I've not heard the these two center speakers, but I prefer the Boston Acoustic bookshelf speakers in that series compared to the Polk bookshelf speakers In the S series. My preference would be for fewer but larger drivers as compare to more smaller ones.

Man, i just replaced my center channel with a Polk T30 for my Monoprice 10565 center which died. How much better is the S35 over the T30? May be able to return back to best buy.

From my educated fuera. The S35 is better than the T30. But if your other speakers are from the T series, I believe the Timbre won't match. I have Klipsch speakers and I am tempted to by this one because it sounds real good and clear, but it won't be a good match. However, you will have Polk sound, so maybe your sound will just get much better.

Go for it but I think you need a sub or another bigger type speaker for some base, as these have tiny subs/drivers.

Amo, aka amp (amplifier), not the one you put in a weapon.
