In a small apartment, google home audio paired as a stereo setup may be a more economical package. If money isn't a problem and you have good neighbors go for the max x2!

I was thinking about getting the Sonos Beam instead cause it's on sale at Costco for $289 (and most other places for $299) but it doesn't have bluetooth.I bought the Max since I consider myself an audiophile. Max would have a fuller sound especially with the low frequency ranges.

It's not a soundbar, it has an AUX port, bluetooth, and chromecast functionality. I believe chomecast devices can use it as a speaker, I have not tried it myself though.
I read reviews about lag/delay if used with Bluetooth. Didn't really look into the stereo mode with Bluetooth, my guess is it would work like any other Bluetooth devices.

Sometimes I'll just queue up some deep basic music and stand right in front of it. It's so magical!
Also: I double it up as a smart soundbar. So definitely worth it!

I kind of regret my beam, it also gets out of sync audio on my oled
