My kids love taking pictures of random crap. I'd rather give them a $50 pos that I don't care if they drop it in a river instead of mine or my wife's phone that would easily cost 10x as much to replace.

Thanks OP - great deals I would have most likely missed. Picked up an SX530 HS - not the world's best camera but the value of having a 50X zoom in a tiny package is immense for me.

Which elph can do both 4k pictures and 4k video? Is it only the 740HS or is there a better option? Without breaking the bank meaning less then $200! Thanks

killin deal. i've had several EPLHs and loved them. Been a few years since my last one broke and i only used a cell phone or a dslr. i really missed having a compact camera with a great zoom on it. Going for the ELPH 360! hell yeah!

Don't buy into the 4K on the SX 740. The camera is pure trash. Especially for video.

Can you elaborate as to what's wrong with it? I like the 40X optical zoom but I see the 730 has the same features as the 740 but not sure if the 740 has better imaging or sensors? Does the 740 actually do anything good in 4k? I mean I would never pay $399 for it...

Keep in mind, there is 2.5% CB on some sites out there on canon refurbs... Plus another 5% if you pay with pay pal and use a chase credit card... or you could use a citi card as they have 5% extra Cb on all online purchases but you need to add it to you account first!
