Regular price is $299.99
Clip coupon -$40
Price in cart = $259.99
I've only recently started browsing for deals on Synology NAS so I'm not too sure how good of a deal this is. I'm looking for a 4-bay system so hopefully this helps someone who's looking for a 2-bay system.

If you need to transcode streams, you're better off with an intel CPU (even celeron) that can do QuickSync. 7th gen or better, but 8 is really the sweet spot. Whether it's your regular desktop computer or a headless mini client or something, it's the way to go. Kodi has client-side transcoding, so these ARM NAS's are fine for that.
If you aren't transcoding, then any NAS should be sufficient.
IMO, optimal pattern is a NAS separate from PMS duty. NAS -> wired connection -> PMS transcoding box -> wired connection -> switch/WAP
