The 6 quart Instant Pot Duo Crisp (pressure cooker with air fryer lid) is again on sale for $79. This is a good deal if you can make use of an electric pressure cooker and smaller capacity air fryer. After the previous sale ended, I recently had to drive to Walmarts in person looking for a location that still had this on sale for $79.

Website description below:
The Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer 6 Quart is the best of all possible worlds. With 11-in-1 functionality, it does everything a regular Instant Pot does. But swap out the pressure cooker lid for the innovative air fryer lid, and you've got a whole new set of cooking techniques available — all fast, easy and at the touch of a button. The pressure cooker lid offers 6 wet cooking functions to quickly pressure cook, sauté, steam, slow cook, sous vide and warm. The Air Fryer lid offers 5 dry cooking functions to quickly air fry, roast, bake, broil and dehydrate. Pressure cooking and air frying both help you save time and cook healthy meals, while roasting and baking with the air fryer lid produces amazing results — without using a lot of energy or heating up your kitchen. Now you can make perfect chicken wings, crispy french fries and onion rings, battered fried vegetables and more the healthy way. The Instant Pot Smart Programs make it fun and easy for anyone — from novice to chef — to prepare great healthy meals fast. And the bright displays, easy-to-use controls and easy-to-read icons that indicate cooking status make selecting programs, and making adjustments simple — even during cooking. Customize the time and temperature selects for total control and save your presets so your favorite meals can be made the way you like them. The Delay Start function ensures dinner is ready when you want it to be, and not before. Cleanup is easy too. Sleek surfaces wipe clean. And the pot, drip pan, cooking tray and basket are all dishwasher safe. Combine space-saving efficiency on your countertop with versatility and say goodbye to your microwave, toaster, slow-cooker, dehydrator and more. This multi-tasking, time-saving, space-saving Instant Pot appliance does it all.

Only thing to note, the air fryer basket (must use when air frying) is much smaller than the pot itself. It is 7.5" across and 5" tall in the six quart model, so you really can't fry big batches of food at once. I hear the eight quart is significantly larger.

Also, for those who plan to sous vide in here, make sure your food isn't touching the bottom of the pot, as it gets hotter than the water bath itself. I only used the feature once so far, and was a little disappointed to find that out.

All things said, this is still a killer price for a killer product, and it was worth the switch from the regular pot to this model.

Amazon warehouse deal. May me lightly scratched.
such a good find.
I am torn without free returns. Makes it harder to impulse buy.

ETA: just "used good" now with "major cosmetic damages" for $91. still torn.

How many wings you think you can reasonably cook at once in this? I've been watching videos and it's hard to tell if they're using 6 or 8 qt. The 8 qt looks friggin' massive and reviews say it's meant for large families or get togethers, and that the 6 qt is reasonable for a 4-5 person family. I'd like to try the fryer for wings when we make pizza with our mixer we just bought this summer, but if it's not going to make at least a dozen for the three of us I may want to go larger. I'm torn between 6 being too small and 8 being way too big. It's also a $50 difference.
You could fit a dozen regular sized wings for sure, but it would be crowded - not sure how that effects the cook time or quality. It is easy enough to do multiple batches, this thing is lightning fast.

Just measured the basket, it is a cylinder that's 7.5" in diameter and 5" tall.

I have this exact 1 and think i did about 18 wings and it still had room for more. Once you pressure cook them, the air frying only took about 15 mins stirring every 5.

Thanks! Even though it's just the three of us at my home, I'm thinking the 8qt might be more appropriate for us. The pressure cooker in the 6qt is I'm sure more than adequate size, but the air fryer sounds a bit iffy because of the insert reducing the space. You also have to take into account they say to only fill these things 2/3 the way at most. Going with the larger pot gives me the option and I won't be saying "what if" like with the 6qt.

Something for me to think about. Thanks again both of you for the input!

Glad that so many people could get this good deal and also not need to go into stores. For folks with concerns about the size, I agree that air fryers in general suffer from not offering as much space as you'd want, and this one is more limited by using the insert. In our house, when we want to cook more, we've chosen to use only the stainless steel pot without the air fryer insert, and we have had pretty good results by putting a round stainless steel wire cooling/cooking rack in the stainless steel pot to be able to cook more. Your mileage may vary in terms of results!

FYI, this model is compatible with lids from the other 6 quart model that I have. The air fryer lid, conversely, will NOT work on other non-air fryer instant pots since there are extra electrical contacts for this one that match up to the air fryer lid.

I thought I seen or read somewhere that you didn't have to use the basket when you're air frying just as long as you have the stainless steel container in or you're good

You don't need it and it'll make more room without it. But it is useful so the grease drains to pot and it has two racks when used. It basket is tiny. Make beef short ribs using it and it came out uneven but OK. Top cooks faster cause it's closer to the element.

No deal with the Crock Pot, we don't want slow cookers.
