This is a great deal for tracking watches. I own the 5x Plus sapphire and very happy with it. I thought of getting the 6x sapphire as an upgrade but decided to wait for the 7x. Not much of a difference between the 6x and 5x Plus.

Yet, if you're looking for a tracking watch, I would go for the sapphire edition, and skip the solar ones.

The watch is mainly a motivator for me to continue exercising and beat my previous records. I have it combined with the Garmin Pro chest HR and running pod. I ordered Stryd pod to compare if it's going to give me more useful data.

Not entirely. The Fenix 6 is a a tad bit larger so the 945 may fit better for smaller wrists. Sure, the Fenix 6 may have some additional functionalities but not many. I think same battery life for both though?

EDIT: they both have 47mm casing size. The Fenix 6S is smaller at 42mm but shorter battery life.

Google says mid-2021.

Battery life is already long and very satisfactory so adding solar will not solve a problem and only extends the battery few hours. Solar lacks the sapphire lens. Solar is more $$$.

Fenix series heavier, have to go pro for maps and wifi.

5x plus was like a frakking shake weight on my wrist.
