Crucial is a very reliable brand for RAM. Highly recommend upgrading your RAM if you want to see an increase in laptop performance while doing more intensive tasks.

If it helps anyone, I made a quick tutorial on how to physically install laptop RAM and test that it is working correctly:

How To Install Laptop RAM Memory - Step By Step Guide https://youtu.be/m4gkChpNi1E

Install on most laptops is fairly easy, even for beginners.
19 cycles at 2666MHz is still slower than 22 cycles at 3200MHz
Works on the BB GAMING LAPTOP $450, JUST INSTALLED FROM 8GB TO 32GB.

Interestingly the CL speed is better in the slower ram. 19 in the 2666mhz but 22 in the 3200mhz

Except for specialty RAM, CL (CAS Latency) is always a lower number in slower RAM.

Older RAM (DDR3) has much lower CL numbers than DDR4 at higher clock speeds. As the clock speed rises, so does CL.

Now, there is specialty RAM (like HyperX) that you can buy with very low CL speeds, but you pay a high premium.

To me, 2666@CL19 vs 3200@CL22 is a wash in terms of actually noticing a difference. It is what it is...

In a normal laptop, this stuff is fine. If you bought a high performance gaming laptop, get the HyperX or similar. I think mine is 2666@CL15.

amazing... seeing only 8 comments im like what are the chances that somehow has tried this with the 2018 mac mini. you sir are a God send.

Edit: did you go with the 3200 or stick with the 2666?

went with 2666, upgraded 2 of mac mini to 32GB each, super easy.

too bad M1 mac mini is not RAM upgradeable, otherwise, would jump on it.

I would get the 2666 version, should work. Do you need 32gb? I have 16gb in mine and only 30% used. If you need to run VMs or DBs I can see 32gb being useful.

Just saying since you can get 16gb for around $55
