Note this is the SB-2000, not the "pro", meaning it doesn't have the newer amp, driver, and phone control DSP. Still a great deal, just don't get the two confused.

I have had both the pb-2000 and the pc-2000 in my home to try out yearss go. I can recommend the pb-2000 at this price point without any apprehensions. It's a solid sub at this price point, goes low and has a quality amp with great warranty and Customer service. The pc-2000 I would not recommend unless you have a space constraint situation. It's just not as good as the pb-2000 in overall impact due to it's smaller overall volume. Running a high quality spl meter on both of them with the same output levels being used, same source material, the pb-2000 was always 2-3 db higher and it always hit lower. Just for reference, I am currently using a Pc-13 ultra 1000 watt RMS & it is outstanding by every measure (of course, it is in a much diff league then the pb-2000/Pc-2000)!

A friend of mine is perfectly happy with one PB-2000.

would I need two of them (PB-2000) for a basement setup with normal ceiling heights and lets say 11 * 18 room

or should I just order 1?

I thought there was some 5% discount code for going duals ?

YES, you will need (2) pb-2000's trust me I had them... Great sub at this price point and if you don't like them you can get 45 days to return them w/ free shipping and no questions asked to try them out! SVS CS is outstanding BTW! if your previous customer on anything, they will give you an extra 5% if you call them or ask them if you buy 2 can you get the extra 5% for going dual.

For me, I just hate the empty side on side of the table. the Asymmetry really annoys me by having 1 sub on one side and there being empty space on the other side of the table.

If you're a repeat customer and you call in to place an order, they will give you 5% off. I'm pretty sure they issued me a 5% refund after purchasing ultra towers online, as I had already purchased a subwoofer from them back in the day.

They may possibly not do it for this offer, but it doesn't hurt to ask them, if you;re a repeat customer that is.
