this is only the Mark I and does not look like that much of a deal. The Mark II only really had software upgrades and not hardware. the one major update between the two was the fact of clean HDMI out. otherwise the same camera.

If anyone is interested, while Canon does not have the refurbished version of this in stock, they do have the one with just the 15-45mm lens refurbished for $438.99. Body only is $422.99 so not as good a deal. This is not the lowest price but they have not been in stock since the pandemic hit, so I was glad to see it and as I don't care for the extra zoom lens, I ordered the refurbished one with the 15-45mm lens instead.

I got M50 with 15-45mm kit lens (refurb from canon) for $300 few months ago. Considering black friday, this is not a slickdeal.

Camera itself is very good for general usage. Don't expect capturing active kids in low light. (i've used many dslrs from almost all brands and now i'm tired and settled on M50 + primes + 2x430 ex ii flash setup with a wireless trigger)
