I've been using minoxidil for 5 years, it definitely works but don't expect a miracle. It mostly helps save your existing hair and thickens some of it up. It also takes months to see results. My only regret is not starting a few years earlier.

Thinning. Once you're bald, it's a bit too late. This thing is best used when you're trying to keep what's left on there (until it doesnt work any longer.)

That's not to say bald people can't use it, but best applications are for hair that is either beginning to thin or thinning.
