I'm going to get flamed for this but will chime in nonetheless. These are not good prices for CG. The expedition base price here is close to $1300. Now it's close to $1100. I got one for about $830 a year ago. These prices feel inflated for the product

I used to like these years ago, but after getting an Arctery'x and a decent wool sweater, they are very unnecessary. and ugly. that wool ribbed sweater design is gross.

May I ask which North Face you purchased? Looking at their McMurdo Parka but I think I might just get a nice insulated jacket from Arc'teryx and get a shell later on.
