Yes, but reviews say they used the LEGO box as the shipping box and just stuck the shipping label right on the LEGO box...

Yes. It actually comes in a brown cardboard box with the lego logo on the outside and the actual retail lego box (same box you'd buy off the shelf at a store) is inside of that. It's like how Lego.com would ship to you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Amazon is figuring out how to deal with these deal sites. They lower the price, then after a certain number are sold, they ratchet up the price. My suspicion is they are counting on people not caring that it's a little higher and still buy or not notice altogether. Customers still get a sale price, even if it's not the lowest, and Amazon's blended margins are higher.
