I bought this a couple weeks ago for 10 dollars more from same seller... I was very happy.. arrived like brand new in less than the advertised 3 days.. I think it was overnight expressed.. I put a mini split system in my master bedroom and used this with a 3 inch hole saw to go through a cinder block wall.. It went through it like butter .. Literally..
My brother called me up and wanted to borrow it.. I was so happy with overall quality and transaction, I just went ahead and bought another one for him.

"The item is in a pristine, like-new condition. See listing for full details."
Like many tool dealers selling new at below authorized retail price, "in pristine, like new condition" could very well be brand new. Serviced tools always have a nick, mark or wallowed screw heads someplace.

Say what they want to, but Makita has been superior to most box store name brands for a long time. But, since they moved some manufacturing from Japan to China like all have done, the future will prove the prior quality is still intact.... or not.

According to Amazon, yes:

"The 3-mode operation offers "rotation only", " hammering with rotation" or "chipping only" for multiple applications."

yes it does. This completely describes the Makita:
https://www.amazon.com/Makita-HR2...B00Z5LTQYU

Makita makes very good tools. I bought the Makita 12v drill and impact driver several years ago and it performs better than most 18v. porducts. However, for drilling and hammering in concrete you need power. This Makita 1" only draws 8 amps but puts out a miserly 2.1 ft/lbs. The harborfreight Bauer SDS 1 1/8" is the same price (even less with a coupon) and draws 10 amps and drives at 3.7 ft/lbs, and the even nicer Bauer SDS Max draws 11 amps and drives a solid 7.4 ft/lbs and was on sale last year for some $100. Since I am in no rush a sale on the Max is what I am waiting for. And for concrete work Max type SDS bits perform much better than SDS or SDS Plus.

This Makita with a case is just as good, if not better than that Bosch, so it depends on what you paid.

BTW, that Bosch will hold a 1" bit as the Makita does, as the SDS Plus shafts are all the same and all are backward compatible with SDS bits. But, I would not use one too much as the Bosch is rated for up to 3/4" for a reason.

Do remember that unless DOA or some other problem you can dream up, returning to CPO for buyer's remorse will be a pain, with maybe a restocking fee plus shipping, whereas with Lowes and box stores, it is a cake walk.

With the scraper bit, it will remove tiles with ease.

Great info. For shipping cost if you use PayPal you can ask PayPal for shipping fee reimbursement. But I guess we still have to deal with restock and bad cs.
