You lose all your history with new account if that matters to you.
I do this every BF. You cancel your current membership. Let it expire then renew with same account, you will see promo code field at checkout.
Ofcourse this only works if you time your membership end during BF.

The Thanksgiving promo seems to start 1 or 2 days before Thanksgiving and end in 6 or 7 days.
In order to buy it yearly, you'd have to buy it on a date that is within all the date ranges. For all the Thanksgiving ones, looks like 11-25 or 11-26 would have worked for most, but not all of the years. You might get screwed if there are two consecutive years where Thanksgiving is on 11-28 then 11-22. Not sure if that's even possible though. From the wikipedia table below, it doesn't look like it since Thanksgiving dates go from right to left as the year increases. One of you guys can find the optimal date to buy each year.

So those would probably include the 11-25 date too.

It ranges from 11-22 to 11-28 (7 possible dates). It says it follows a 28-year cycle. I guess ideally you buy it as early as possible, so it can expire as early as possible for the next promo.
If you miss out on the deal for a year, you could start a new account. It just might be annoying to have your data split among two accounts or have to manually migrate your solutions over.
