Same, it was $12 after rebates last time around (7/9/20). I usually stock up whenever they have the rebates available. Decent deal if you absolutely need this now but if not, just wait.

Last time I went down the rabbit hole of researching which mainstream full synthetic was best for the price, I concluded with Pennzoil Platinum (not Ultra Platinum, because it's a very marginal improvement for a disproportionate higher cost).
Anyone savvy on oils have a different opinion? Anything change in 2020?
Good deal but when I order from Amazon they usually just put this in a box to ship it. Often when I get it there is a small oil leak in the jug cap from being tossed around in shipping. Just a small amount; nothing that I needed to return it for.

More of a reason why you go and get it at your local Walmart. You can ensure no damage and you get it on the spot.
I have a relatively low-mileage (~78k) 28 year old car that doesn't have any serious oil leaks, just the valve cover which I understand is pretty common. Would high mileage oil help, hurt or not make a difference? I've heard that putting it in a car without serious leaks could actually do it harm, especially seals and gaskets. Is this true and am I better off with regular synthetic oil?

If, of course, you HAVE a "local" Walmart. Not everyone does.
Several reports here of people having leaking bottles shipped to them, but I don't know what to make of the reports of unopened bottles that are sitting upright on shelves and leaking from the caps. All of mine have been sealed with foil under the cap and none have ever leaked, but as always YMMV. I've also had no problem getting oil shipped, either with Walmart or Amazon. Maybe I'm just lucky. Tide detergent shipped from Target, however...

Unless you like things to be delivered to you.
Oh.. Walmart also has other weight that you may need for your other cars.
