This phone will be unlocked and simply follow the simple directions over on Android Sage or the clustered directions on XDA and you can within 10 minutes convert this to the international version. My wife had no issues on ATT nor now on Tmo
My T-mobile Oneplus 6T came with Android 9, I flashed to international version to take the advantage of dual sim.
Google pay stopped working after Android 10 upgrade due to safetynet failure. Apparently there is no good solution other than flashing back to T-mobile ROM (which does not support dual sim). This is a known issue but oneplus doesn't seem to care and fix it (by adding T-mobile hardware variant to the international rom hardware list).
TLDR is that there might be some quirky stuff in the future if flashing to international ROM is something critical for you.
Also just noticed this, seems kinda sketchy. They should be able to unlock by IMEI without opening the phone...
The phone is new and not pre-owned, though the box has been opened in order to unlock the phone.

Wow...cheaper and cheaper. If my OP5 dies or something, I'll be sitting pretty at these prices. Until then...
I would strongly suggest you consider moving up to this 7t at this price; unless Woot has it at $279 in the future i don't see this one going for much less and this phone is pretty damn stellar, they fixed little issues here and there with each update and although my wife loves her Note+ she uses the 7t daily.

this is tmo variant. Will not work on ATT 2g. Read the charts in description.
