A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

Two sodimm slots upgradeable to 64GB with two 32GB modules
No SATA bay. only one M2 slot for ssd
I want to upgrade 2x16gb ddr and to a 512ssd
Anyone doing same or looking similar on BF/CM? Seems folks are set that can expand the RAM. I'd rather do myself than pay upfront

I for example rather have all the pluses (less than $400, 512 SSD, upgrade RAM available, USB C charge, Ryzen 5 4500U, display ports to 4K 60Hz) and one or 2 minuses (250 bit screen, backlit keyboard for example) available for under $400
versus spending more than $400 for more "perks" that a bit better than the one from Wally. Why spend more $ when you know you do not need nor use all of the specs?
Overall, it very hard to find a less than $400 laptop with great specs deal that can dethrone it. nit picky and being cheap don't always go together and this is the case. If you're gonna be nit picky on specs you gotta be OK to spend more. can't put a price on happiness. no such things as perfect husband/wife for crying out loud. trade offs is normal and healthy to have.
I can get this HP Pavilion Laptop - 15z-eh000 for $558 w/
AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700U (2.0 GHz, up to 4.1 GHz, 8 MB L3 cache, 8 cores) AMD Radeon™ Graphics

512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD
3-cell, 41 Wh Lithium-ion prismatic Battery
Full-size, backlit, cloud blue keyboard with numeric keypad
HP Wide Vision 720p HD camera FGB
Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5 combo (Supporting Gigabit file transfer speeds)
Some of the things I like about my Acer was the metal feeling body (feels more protective). the charging input (i've had some other brands including HP break the solder inside and stop charging), and my current laptop doesn't have the numeric pad - this seems like a really good price though and I'm anxious to get one of those new Ryzens. I mostly do business work and some light photo and video editing.
Should this be my next laptop???? Thank you!!
