Today is the day.. I expect most people are getting theirs today and tomorrow.
And $100 is a big difference in this price range.
Result: All built before 16th, two delivered 12-22, two delivered 12-23. All would have been here early if HP didn't botch the Customs paperwork.

The one I unpacked this morning (White) definitely had backlit keyboard as ordered.
And I had no problem seeing the letters on the keys while I waited for the sun to rise.
I still wish I'd noticed that I could do backlit keyboard with Fog Blue, that might have been worth $10 over Ceramic White. I showed mine to my mother, she definitely wants the white one that came today, not the Silver one that I accidentally paid $10 extra for.
