I will have to get base for this right ? N I see on wyze website they have base along with 1 outdoor camera. I don't see just the base sold alone. Wtze outdoor camera is different then wyze v3 cam so why should I buy that?
Wyze Outdoor Cam does use the base station.
However, as others have said, now that v3 is IP65 with (presumably) better specs, Outdoor is fast becoming superfluous, assuming that v3 does meet the promised performance level.
That's not for shipping though, it's for your future (one year later) 3 extra months free on auto renewal of the service
not that i know of. maybe in the future like they made v2 in black. i have one in white and one in black. had to paint my white v2. i won't do it again. black or nothing.

The worst part is most of those problems are NEW, their app is devolving.
I also just get the gut feeling this company is floundering and running a kind of ponzi scheme hoping they'll break through if they just hold out long enough and get enough market share (then raise the prices). So at best you can look forward to price gouging and/or ecosystem prices skyrocketing and at worst you can look forward to when they don't sell enough to keep it up and just collapse.
Big ol' poop emoji for this company.
Of course, for some people none of that matters.. If you can use a third party software and just use the camera hardware, it seems like the hardware itself is great and cheap (maybe even at a loss like I said).
