Last year Costco had $270 Costco Cash Card for buying iPhone 11 out right, without needing to add a new line or unlimited plan on Verizon. Has anyone seen anything similar this year?

Not sure why this is getting lots of love.
Apple has a similar deal for example $350 trade-in value for iPhone 11 + $150 Trade-in credit from Tmobile ($500 total) VS you get $374 from this deal and the phone is $100 cheaper than Apple Store. So Apple deal is $26 better than this?
Not to mention that you can buy $500 Apple Store gift cards from Best Buy or Target and earn $100 Target Gift Cards.

T-Mobile has iPhone 12 mini on us with qualifying activation. Think that's the best deal if you stick with them for 2 years.
The 12 mini deal is a trade deal. No activation is required.

Not in Atlanta. No use of the deal when they don't have stock or taking backorder. My local store told that they have not get any stock for 12 Pro or 12 Pro max since launch
Can also confirm that in all of Chicago, Houston, Dallas and Lexington KY Costco locations have had NO Pro Max's whatsoever. Wife and I have been calling daily each location with the same news, "none in stock".

According to some Costco guys, T-Mobile really messed up in allocating proper amounts to send to Costco in terms of the pro/pro max models

Did you consider 10% off retail price at costco in your calculation? For example iphone 12 mini retails for $699 at apple and $656 at costco.

Yes, I did. I mentioned that in that message as well.

Like in my scenario, I bought $700 worth of Apple Store gift cards from Target total for $552 (after discounts and etc)
Trade in for my iPhone 11 $350 + $150 Tmo credit = $500

Cost of the new iphone 12 pro is $1000 - 552 - 500 = Comes down to $ -52 (Future credit for Target Store)
Total $500 out of my pocket.

If I were to get it from Costco;
$900 for iPhone 12 Pro
$375 Trade-in total $525 Out of pocket.

It's close but Target + Apple Store deal is slightly better, forgot to mention that Apple Store iPhones are factory unlocked.

For iPhone 12, while trading top tier (iPhone 8)

$450 trade + $200 shop card = $650 from Costco. Pay 2-3 months of service

Vs T-Mobile $830 new line plus trade . 30 months for service
Costco T-Mobile price is almost $100 less than actual market price

Direct apple.com trade in still better, T-Mobile gives extra $150. If you do target or best buy apple gift card with 4-5% card rewards. No need to add line etc.
Example if trading xr, apple gives 250, add T-Mobile $150=400 .
Target GC discount if using 11 cards=$220+$44(redcard)=264
Net off =400+264=664$
Can you share the details of extra $150 to credit? Is that monthly credit? Over how many months?

Edit. Checked apple.com - it's a credit in form of prepaid visa card

I think you need to consider that costco trade in will be $370 but you will get remainder $450-$370=$80 in virtual express Mastercard. You can maximize your gains by finding cheap working older iphone on craigslist instead of trading in iphone 11. Sell off iphone 11 on craigslist for better price. Little extra work but it's worth IMO.

So it looks like we won't be getting those big rebates from Costco/T-Mobile anymore. The iPhone 8 and xr isn't even in the top tier for trade in.

Looks like the 24 month T-Mobile bill credits for the 'free' mini when trading the 8 is the best if you are staying with T-Mobile.
Yeh I was really hoping they'd carry the iPhone 12 promo for existing customers. Maybe Monday?

I did that actually. Using Cricket iPhone SE deal for $50 for phone + 60 for service and -25 chase promo. Net phone cost $85, brings $220 in trades. iPhone 11 I was going to trade in is brand new unlocked in the box. I should easily get $550-600 from it

So to confirm:

I (existing member) buy an iphone 12 for $769.99+tax. Then trade in an iphone 6+ and receive a $194 credit on my bill?...and $256 (450-194) on a virtual express mastercard?

No matter what you trade in on the list, it will be a total of $450 off?

I don't think so.
When I checked today for Iphone 7 following is the logic the kiosk representative gave:
For Iphone 7 offer of 270$. But if the phone trade-in value is valued only as $70 then that will be one time bill credit and the reminder $200 will come as virtual pre-paid card.

Never tried t-mobile before, but I have Iphone 8 and want 12 mini.
What's the most cost-effective plan for 1 line only? I can see on their website it's minimum 60 per line per month which would effectively eat $200 for 3-4 month while you have to stay with t-mobile.
Otherwise my mobile payments will be in the range of 50 bucks for the next 3-4 months since I work from home. Basically a loss of $150 here at minimum.

Is there any workaround for this? Can I somehow do $40 prepaid plan?
thanks!
