Since it competes against the Vizio 5.1.2 that I ordered yesterday, which one to get
The surround sound on the Vizio doesn't blow me away. Feel like I'd rather have a better sound bar and add rear speakers later.
It will certainly be subjective. Vizio makes a really great sound bar. I am still using their 2013 5.1 42" sound bar in my bedroom and my wife recently asked me to switch it down to my family room because the sound is considerably bigger than the 2.1 Samsung sound bar I replaced it with. I'm a fan of Vizio's sound bars, but I'm not as impressed with their newer lines because they ditched tweeters in favor of just using full range drivers.
So all that being considered, what is your usage scenario? What will be your primary focus for the unit? All around media consumption? Music? Movies or games? I personally like the styling of the Klipsch far better than Vizio's design language. For me that's a factor because I'm going to have to be looking at the sound bar when it's not in use. Another thing you need to consider is your placement and ceiling height. With any of the Atmos capable sound bars ceiling height and seating distance are going to be key for how much of the effect you'll actually get. Anyway, before I get any more in depth, go ahead and answer the above questions and I'll see if I can give you better advice based on that.
It does have substantially better sound than the Vizio's though. Less features, better sound.

I think I've made the right choice, mostly for movie usage. If atmos surrounds are made to be wall mounted, so be it. I have a broken 2.1 soundbar hanging off the tv currently that the Vizio is replacing. I don't care for the design of the soundbar, as I only care for the sound of it.
