From everything I've read on this sound bar, it seems to be very well regarded. When you put it under $300, it almost becomes a must buy if you're in the market. The sub on this thing is no joke. It's not going to hit sub-audible frequencies, but a 10" ported sub will definitely give you a solid amount of bass. Here's a link to a really solid review of the unit. It's long, but it is detailed and should tell you the units strengths and weaknesses.

That review is pretty solid. How does this compare to the Vizio 5.1 that's been on sale from 150?

Wondering the same. Is this worth 2X the price? The subwoofer is much bigger.

The surround sound on the Vizio doesn't blow me away. Feel like I'd rather have a better sound bar and add rear speakers later.

It will certainly be subjective. Vizio makes a really great sound bar. I am still using their 2013 5.1 42" sound bar in my bedroom and my wife recently asked me to switch it down to my family room because the sound is considerably bigger than the 2.1 Samsung sound bar I replaced it with. I'm a fan of Vizio's sound bars, but I'm not as impressed with their newer lines because they ditched tweeters in favor of just using full range drivers.

So all that being considered, what is your usage scenario? What will be your primary focus for the unit? All around media consumption? Music? Movies or games? I personally like the styling of the Klipsch far better than Vizio's design language. For me that's a factor because I'm going to have to be looking at the sound bar when it's not in use. Another thing you need to consider is your placement and ceiling height. With any of the Atmos capable sound bars ceiling height and seating distance are going to be key for how much of the effect you'll actually get. Anyway, before I get any more in depth, go ahead and answer the above questions and I'll see if I can give you better advice based on that.

This has been $300 for weeks. Don't consider this a deal, it's regular price. Especially with the Klipsch 400 sound bar being $150.

It does have substantially better sound than the Vizio's though. Less features, better sound.

this, or a sonos beam? I've been meaning to upgrade the yamaha 1080 which really needs a center speaker for vocals.

How does the Cinema 400 stack up against the 600 for those to have it ? Aside from the woofer that output more bass & the center ....worth the $150 upgrade?

I think I've made the right choice, mostly for movie usage. If atmos surrounds are made to be wall mounted, so be it. I have a broken 2.1 soundbar hanging off the tv currently that the Vizio is replacing. I don't care for the design of the soundbar, as I only care for the sound of it.

Here's another retailer who seems to have this item in stock fro $299. I have no idea about how good this seller is, so do you own research before buying:
