Usually $289 when not in sale and now for $249 for a few days. This compressor is one of the best ones for 120v you can buy.

Here is a tip on getting this ~$43 cheaper. You can get maximum of two $100 Lowes gift card from samsclub for $85 ea, then buy a $20 off 100 coupon from ebay for $7 after tax (You get 2 coupons). After everything is said and done, the total comes out to be $225 after tax ($206 before tax) and still have $20 off 100 coupon that must be used within 3 days. Not in military but would be awesome if military discount applies on top of everything.

Ebay deal I used: https://www.ebay.com/itm/TWO-2-LO...2749.l2649

Edit: Added links and clarified the ebay deal. Hope this helps.
I have had mine for several months now. Super quiet compared to the 30 year old black max it replaced. I have used mine for impact wrenches and ratchets, some nailing and grinding/sanding and it has performed admirably. Really happy with it. I did swap out one quick connect for a high flow fitting since all my tools have them, and it is plumbed to a 30' hose reel. I also swapped the drain valve with a husky drain hose instead, much easier to drain and the condensation tends to gather in the hose as well.

5.5 cfm @ 40 psi
4.5 cfm @ 90 psi

While a bit light on the volume seems like a decent deal

Cool. Thanks for the post. Ended up getting this for $224 with my military discount plus I have another 10 percent sales tax for a $247 total. I have researched these for a while and this should work well for my light duty needs.

The 30 year old one I have now is so friggen loud and it walks across the floor.

I have this - it works well and is fairly quiet. I have only used it lightly but so far so good I'm happy with it.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it's very impressive how much more output it has vs my Makita mac700. The makita (2 gallon) would take quite a while to air up my truck tires (an output/SCFM issue, not a tank-size issue). This Kobalt compressor airs up my tires way faster (possibly faster than the gas station pumps?). I was able to top off 4 truck tires and 4 trailer tires without the compressor even having to run (after the initial air up). The Kobalt is indeed fairly quiet. Not silent by any means, but it doesn't make you mad to be within 10ft of it when it's running.

That all being said, I would never make a statement like, "This compressor is one of the best ones for 120v you can buy."

... Because it depends on your application. If you need one that you can easily transport, then nope, this isn't the "best one" for you. If you're putting it out back behind your garage, then you probably don't need to pay extra for having a compressor that's this quiet. Just get a cheap one that has a higher SCFM rating (if you even need that). For me, it lives inside my shop and has 'just' enough SCFM to run my tools, so it was a great purchase.

Some of the reviews are a little concerning for a kobalt. Usually they are 4.5+ and 88% or more.recommend. this is 4.4 and 83% recommend with a bunch of them dead on arrival or breaking quickly. Still not bad reviews overall.

This works great for basic home use. Quiet and portable. Have used it for air ratchets and impact guns and worked fine for that. Also framing gun for sheathing my patio roof. Good deal at this price.

Is this compressor powerful enough for sprinkler winterization, such as 6 zones?

I was just thinking this same thing. You would have to do 1 zone at a time I imagine.

edit: a lot of reviews said it was used for sprinkler blowout. I'll be getting one. It's $60 per blowout here.

My husband asked for a compressor for Xmas. I want to make sure I get him the right type but I'm not sure. Would this work quick on tractor tires?
