dang, tough decision as I already have 4 headphones...
  1. HD 598 (wired, now kid uses it for zoom class)
  2. AKG N700NC M2 (from S20 FE bruhaha)
  3. SONY MDR-100ABN (cuz I couldn't afford xm3 before)
  4. OneOdio Pro-30 (wired, other kid uses it for zoom class)
Should I join the bandwagon? I've been waiting for this price but always hesitant because I already have those 4.

Oh wise one, what doest thou sayest?

Interesting piece. Is this so that I can use my wired headphones to listen to my tv? Does this connect to my TV (spoof it) so that I can connect my wired headphones to it so I can watch my TV from this wirelessly?

For some reason I thought these were always $200. Pretty sure I bought them like 2 years ago for that. That said, these headphones have a great combination of sound quality and comfort. I can wear them all day and basically forget they are on my head.

What makes you think these will be discounted to $160 and will include pads for that price?

These were $180 + pads last year's Black Friday and that was a front page deal.

I haven't checked in over a year, but the only entry level for amping something like this was about $170. That's typically something like an Atom amp with a topping d-10.
Maybe now theres a good device that does both for $120, let me know.

No, they were not $160, the deal was for $180, which is exactly the same deal I referred to.

There was $20 discount for new members, which may not be offered anymore, plus many of people on SD are already members of Drop.

They were too dark for me, got in on that $160 deal ended up selling them on eBay used around $250 with earpads. Prefer the HIFIMAN HE4XX, cheaper, brighter, easier to drive, and better bass. Handband is the only real drawback.

Massdrop or hifiman 400i vers? I have the 400i from mass, and love them. I also have the hd58x. Which also sound great.
