the only good thing about datacolor is their customer service, it's excellent. x-rite has the better products but their customer service is absolutely horrendous.

Well technically, it uses fake software compensation (padding fake measurement data) to the bottom of the curve but, it can not physically measure that low.
this isn't a problem because you're not using a very deep black anyway. But it won't work well if you're colorizing video on a high contrast monitor.
Don't get either.
