this bundle is pretty much always this price, and it should be because it's junk. you'll run it 10 times in a row and get completely different readings no matter what your room setup is.

the only good thing about datacolor is their customer service, it's excellent. x-rite has the better products but their customer service is absolutely horrendous.

No it can not.

Well technically, it uses fake software compensation (padding fake measurement data) to the bottom of the curve but, it can not physically measure that low.

<in the case of photoshop> this isn't a problem because you're not using a very deep black anyway. But it won't work well if you're colorizing video on a high contrast monitor.
