I saw this online and I'm trying to confirm the deal with T-Force, who seems clueless about it.

When I go through the online checkout, I don't see a mention of the promotion so I wonder if it will automatically be applied afterwards. Does anyone have experience with that?

Great question you don't need an extra line existing lines are eligible

a reddit user posted that he would only see new plans for the 12 mini were eligible but when he went on his laptop of different browsers he would then see existing lines were eligible

If you are logged into your account, you should see the promo when you go to the phone order page and see the 12 Mini. At least that's how it worked when I used this promo on 2 of my lines yesterday.

It has to be an existing line - new lines are ineligible for this promo, but are eligible for other free/discounted phone offers this week.

Cool, thanks. I have always gone through T-Force for purchases cause the site never allowed me to purchase phones cause of my old grandfathered plan. But it's starting to work now lately.

I found the promotion code on T-Mobile's website too.
