Been waiting for a deal on this setup for months. Thanks for sharing.
Watched several reviews on the hedge trimmer. A lot of people complained about the wobble in the articulating head, but one YouTuber said it was a nonissue once it gets up against the hedge. The RPM is a little low compared to competitors, but not enough of a difference to make a huge difference in time. This is also advertised to cut up to a 1" branch while most competitors only advertise a 3/4" branch.
I look forward to giving it a shot myself. I have bushes completely surrounding my backyard. About a 1/4 acre of hedges some over 8' tall so I'm hoping for good use out of this.
The wobble is pretty bad (along with the articulating hinge appears to be all plastic). I purchased one last week at normal price and returned it already... I think it will work, but I had doubts of the longevity. I have a lot of 12ft plus bushes and reaching it up and then down, you can tend to over-agitate the wobble and it feels like it could snap pretty easily.
This is a better price, giving more incentive if you need both or can sell part of the kit however!
The combo is worth it even with less-than-par hedge trimmer extension. I own this combo and absolutely love the pole saw. The hedge trimmer, it is indeed wobbly and very hard to maneuver. When you attach it to just the handle pole, it is still very top/front heavy. But I am still able to make it work with some pain for the taller bushes and hedging trees like leland cypresses.
Thank you guys for all the input about the wobbly hedge trimmer attachment. The comments saved me from buying. I don't need any batteries so I'll just get the tool only version for $149
Does anyone know if the "auto oiling feature for added convenience" is like on the 20v chainsaw?
Mine auto oils all the time, even when it's off. I store it in a tray to catch the oil.
