In for 500! Gonna give some to my coworkers. Its getting bad here and staff is getting sick...if it keeps even one from getting sick its worth it
I really like these masks for good fit and well made. Piece of mind too as these are on FDA list too. I wear these when going into a supermarket, doctors office or visitng elderly family members. I have both the earloop and headband style. Both fit the same, headband fits a little more snug. All masks like this are worthless if you are unable to properly seal it against your face. Many times I can feel air escaping in the nose area near eyes when blowing out hard. The metal nose strip is a bit on the weak side, that is the only negative of this brand. If I work hard at molding the nose area to my face properly, I can always get the perfect fit with a litle patience.
KN95 is still better that your typical cloth mask or those gaiters people keep wearing.

Since you have rightly commented on re-use of this, how do you tackle usage when someone uses for grocery trip? I use these only for that and only during these trips which tend to last abt an hr. I take out the mask and leave it in the garage (just open, no bags of any kind) I might be using it again in 3/4 days. Am I doing it wrong?

Also, I sometimes go to multiple store in one trip, so mask gets taken off and put back on for the next store. Total time spent in-door in such scenario would be say 2 hrs

Please advise
Estimate the potential viral load you have on the mask. Make sure to wash your hands before and after taking off your mask per CDC guidelines. Try to handle only by the straps.

Gaiters are a joke and have been scientifically proven to be worse than not wearing a mask due to the droplets that form more rapidly while wearing one.

made in china that why it so cheap.

Guangzhou Powecom Labor Insurance Supplies Co., LTD is the manufacturer and i do believe these are not reuseable.

i personally bought the .1 micron nano mask from soom-lab and use them and are quite breathable and quite nice.

I'm confused about these terms and conditions on the site, which you have to agree with in order to purchase:
"We do not claim, represent or warrant that products sold on this Site are safe or effective for the prevention or treatment of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Face masks and face shields are not FDA cleared or approved."

Perhaps they mean generic face masks or face shields?

They just don't want to be held responsible in case anyone still gets sick. Even if the items are proven they are just saying that they are not the ones that are stating that so just not to go after them if anything.

Is this true in anyone's experience? I'd like to get them for work, but it's a physical job, and I breathe heavily even in the surgical masks
This person must be in severely bad shape. I'm not in great shape and wear these to go hiking without any breathing issues

Niosh approved?
These Powecom kn95s are not Niosh approved masks. However, Bonefide Masks recently started selling 2 types of n95 niosh approved masks manufactured by a company called Harley Commodity Company. The company is located in Conghua (near Guangzhou) and they masks they make are Niosh approved. They are one of the manufacturers on the FDA Niosh n95 approved list, but not the medical n95 list because these aren't meant for medical use. The Harley masks are much more expensive compared to the kn95 or regular medical masks though, but they're worth it if you need something similar to the 3m n95s. Both Harley n95 versions use the headband, so they fit much better than earloop masks.

Oh of course in the case of price and availability then feel free to take anything you can get, but just mentioning purely on what the item is intended for. If you can get something cheaper and more available in those cases then not required to stick to these higher end masks for that purpose.
What do you mean by 'high end'? The 3M respirators I'm talking about are N95, meaning it filters 95% of particle matter. Did you mean KN95 filter even more? I don't think so.

Oh if you're using N95 grade respirators just for sanding then that's even more excessive haha. For sure you don't need to stick to both of these high end protectors for sanding purposes. I'm sure Lowes was just offering them earlier since it wasn't even remotely a concern and they were easily available and guaranteed protection so they figured why not; but otherwise KN95 and N95 are far more restrictive than any volume of pollution sanding will produce that you would like to protect yourself from. Like I said, if that's the only thing that's available and cheaper than the alternatives then by all means but otherwise these level of protection are far exceeding the necessary requirement for sanding.

EDIT: But just to clarify, I am just referring to common material sanding here. If you're sanding something very specific that could also output harmful chemicals and bi-products into the atmosphere that's a completely different story. For those kinds of cases you have to do your research and understand what you're sanding and what kind of bi-products you need to be protecting yourself against on top of just simple material particulates. In some cases even N95/KN95 may not be enough then.
