I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can do this with any game. It has to be initiated via the mobile app tho - there's no option that I am aware of on the console to do this without purchasing the game.
With that said I'll be waiting for the Series X physical version when its ready in 2021.

Like many games, this has a performance and quality mode for XSX and PS5. I wouldn't expect the next gen patch to change performance mode graphics much at all. If you are planning to play performance mode (who would opt for sub 60fps in 2020?), there isn't much reason to wait for any update.

What I would like to see is if it runs better on XSX vs X1X to know if I should keep or sell the XSX.
It's an RPG, not a shooter so I wouldn't be surprised by that at all. I'm hyped for it.
I'm still showing Dec 10 as well.
It will be next year, but they said the full patch is free when they finish it. The planned enhancements won't be available this year.

i glanced too fast. the code i saw was my last order which was just cause 4 when that went on sale. i don't have a code yet.... :-(
i really hope they release the codes before the 10th so we can preload.
