FWIW This is about the going rate for a new LG G8 on eBay
Why do you say that? It looks like the G8 has better body construction, better gorilla glass, better processor and much higher pixel density. Aside from possibly the camera and 5G, what is better about the pixel?

Also if you're not trading anything in, it's $200 more for the pixel 4a 5G. Not sure how that's a " little more".
Funny, of all the phones I've owned, my LG G8 has the best battery life. Can easily get two days from a charge.

Has LG fixed their bootlooping problems? After bootloops with the v10 and v20 i switched to samsung but I'm not a fan of the pricing scheme. I'd go back to LG if they've fixed their reliability problems.

Yes but they ain't perfect. Had my g8 for 18 months. Love it - pixel 4a is just not as good in many ways.

How does this compare to the Motorola G Power, I picked the moto up the other day for $180 for my son, I dont mind spending more for a better phone.

Didnt they fix most of bootlooping issue by the time v20 came out (2016)? I held off on getting v10 due to potential bootlooping fear. I made sure ppl dont realy report v20 bootlooping issue too much then got it. At least for my case, my v20 is going strong for 3.5 years so far.
