Scotch is the better brand for sure but I've been using this stuff in my business for a few years now with no complaints. I did notice that it has a slightly firmer tear when pulling off the Scotch dispensers we use. Sometimes it doesn't tear perfectly straight across unless you're sure to pull straight from center. I never had any real complaints with it.

Greener? Almost a joke given that glue on plastic tape is impossible to recycle. Just go for the regular and get more tape.

And why are office depot shoppers worried about tape sales (and other low priced items..??

They're ALWAYS free if you are a reward member and take the time to write product reviews for $2 reward cash every month....
