What's the difference between this one and the one offered by Best Buy apart from the camera?

Costco exchange policy/warranty for starters.

Basically, the Costco one (AIVI) is a higher end model that has a camera and suppose to be better at obstacle avoidance by Using AI. See link below from the manufacturer.

Thanks. I was wondering if it came with better mopping capabilities as compared to the best buy version. Not sure if only camera is worth $150 extra. I do get the Costco return policy is unparalleled.

I actually bought the one from best buy for $449, and it was really good. I can't imagine how much better this one could be, but I did want to get the higher end model since I believe its better at avoiding obstacles and cables. Practically, it's probably not worth the extra $150 for most people.

I thought the Costco one came with the mop attachment while the best buy one did not

I am in the same predicament as you. Bought the best buy version and so far its been good apart from mopping which is kinda meh. Ordered this one from Costco and will compare how well both work. One of them will eventually go back. Thanks for responding. Much appreciated.

I have the Best Buy version of this - the T8+ and I love it. The mop attachment basically drags water on the floor, but I have read reviews that the pro mop attachment vibrates and is much better.
The vacuum base makes this almost maintenance free since I don't have to worry about dumping the trash every day. You do have to clean the roller and sensors but that's to be expected and not frequent.
The T8+ was $450 when I purchased it and it amazes me by how it avoids objects in its path. It still runs into the occasional string (I have a cat), but it's not frequent. It won't bump into any furniture and does a good job of mapping as well. Overall I would recommend getting the cheaper version with the empty base, but this Costco deal is excellent, given their return policy and extended warranty. For what it's worth, I purchased mine with the Citi Costco Visa, so I still get an additional 2 years of warranty even though I purchased from Best Buy (please correct me if I am wrong).

I got the i8+ roomba from Costco for $580 few weeks ago. It still in box and wondering whether this would be a better version since I have about 1700 sqft of primarily hardwood floors and some carpeting.

Interested to hear whether the mopping ability in this t8 aivi would be good, it is absent in the roomba.

I can't speak to the mopping, but the biggest difference between Roomba and this Ecovacs T8 AIVI is that the Ecovacs uses LIDAR (what is used in self driving cars) to map the room, which from my research is superior to Roomba. This article has a good explanation if you are interested.

OK, giving it a shot since it's Costco. Worst case, it can be returned.

Was shopping around for a robot vacuum, seems to be a solid deal with the Auto-Empty station.

Safe bet with Costco return policy.

Made this fellow's Top pick for premium Vacuum robots. Here is his video.

T8 will crush the Roobma. I had both. T8 is way better
