Doesn't seem to be shipping right away (mine was ETA of Jan 7-8).
My total was $459 + $28.69 (6.25% Tax), so $487.69. for the UNLOCKED version of the Google Pixel 4a 5G.

Use promo code HOLIDAY2DAY at checkout for free 2-day shipping.

Sign up for monthly Google One 2TB plan (9.99/mo) to get 10% google store credit ($45.90) from this purchase. Just remember to cancel the Google One subscription after you get your credit in a month.
Edit: Some people have said it may require subscribing to Google One for 2 months. Check out their comments

Also opted to trade in my old Pixel 2 128GB for $175 refund/credit.
Edit: This portion of the deal seems to be dead now, so YMMV. Checked Pixel 2 128G trade-in value on Dec 11 and it's down to $47. It was $175 on Dec 10.

https://store.google.com/US/product/pixel_4a_5g - NLA

Edit: A couple people have pointed out that other stores (Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo) have it at the same price of $459 (some without tax). As far as I can tell these don't offer an option to trade in old phone for credit, but if you aren't looking to do that, solid options.
Best Buy [bestbuy.com] ($459.99)
Amazon [amazon.com]
B&H Photo [bhphotovideo.com] (w/ free case) $499.00
Target [target.com](full price $499, but $40 GC)

If you bought this phone at a higher price recently, try contacting the store you bought from for an after-the-fact price match/refund. Some people have reported success in the comments.

I bought this phone during the Black Friday offer for $300 with Fi network activation. Much better coverage in Austin, Texas than AT&T Wireless. I get 5G in most parts of Austin. The phone is well worth the $500 regular price but at $300 it was a steal. Plus Google Fi offers better coverage at a lower price than AT&T for data usage and international use. I am very happy I got this phone on Fi.

I am with Mint / tmobile and this is correct. However, I run a quick test and it seems there is hardly any difference in speed between 4g and 5g in my area.
The question is though - are you getting better overall coverage / network quality?
Asking bc wife is on Mint with a Essential Ph-1, and it kinda sucks, compared to me with OP7 Pro. Hoping for dramatic increase in network strength with 5G. Any thoughts?

Guys try this: I started online chat with target guys and asked him to match the price with Amazon and Google. He told me Target offered $40 gift card so can't match the price but to retain a customer he is price matching along with $40 gift card. I pulled the trigger immediately.

For those that were intending on trading in a device in getting the phone directly through Google, the trade in values, especially for Apple devices, have tanked considerably. Yesterday, the iPhone 8 was getting $301 for the 64gb variant. it is now getting $110. Glad I was able to place my order just a couple days ago at the $301 rate.

I purchased it with the recent $250 pixel trade in deal, just waiting for the trade in to be accepted. For that price it is a very good deal. I still think the phone is too large, I think Pixel 2 was just about perfect size. But the battery life is far better than P2 and the screen is outstanding. Huge improvement overall.
not only that the new extreme battery saver works like a charm with almost no limitations very very well implemented i would never think it would work so simply without limitations.

battery life usage can be improved by wireless charging the ibreakfix guy said so i dont know for sure. and also now adaptive charging will be much needed to improve battery

How long they took to process the trade-in after receiving the phone?

I sent in my trade in on December 10th and I just received confirmation today (December 15th) that my phone was inspected and I should expect a refund in 3-5 business days. So it takes roughly about 5 days to process the trade in.

Thanks. Seems they are pretty fast in processing. I am waiting for USPS confirmation of trade-in. Mine has a WiFi issue. Fingers crossed!

I'm on vanilla T-Mobile service, and for me the pixel 4a 5g is a massive improvement in call quality and reliability over my old pixel 2xl. My 2xl would often miss incoming calls and the call quality was just terrible, but now with the 4a 5g it's pretty reliable, and I'm even able to get wideband audio (aka hd voice.)

How long are the pixel phones usually around before they start really seeing price drops? I need another one of these real bad but I can't help but feel a bigger deal is right around the corner.

Probably a month before the pixel 5a, whenever that is

I have a Pixel 4a 5g from the Fi Black Fri deal, but I really feel like I was paying an unnecessary premium for a 5g qualcomm chip (in this case, the 765G), which will come standard in many 2021 phones. No idea on when the 5a will come though since the schedule got out of whack this year. It might be as early as May

How were people able to get the price protection? The associate I chatted with said I was not eligible since I participated in the Trade In Promotion.

The Google associate is not telling you the correct information. You are eligible for a price match if you purchased your Pixel 4a 5G from the Google store AND you participated in trade in program. However, Google does have a 15 day price matching window. I would contact Google support again and try a different associate. Good luck

Same here. I'm using t-mobile SIM. First speed test was disappointing. I got 14 Mbps down, 49 Mbps up on 5G. I've got better speed with LTE connection on my 6 years old phone, close to 100 Mbps.

I just did another test a moment ago and I got 70 Mbps down, 25 Mbps up. That's still not what I'm hoping to see from a 5G connection. Oh btw, I hear static noise from my PC speakers when the phone is nearby. If I turn off 5G and switch to LTE, the noise disappear. It reminds me of early GSM technology back in the 90s and early 2000. It did the same thing to speakers (make static noise) back then during a call or incoming/outgoing SMS text.
