Okay, took a chance with the system showing $295 trade in value for my Oneplus 8 after taking screenshots of the offer. Also added a line for another free 8T. Fingers crossed on the trade in.

Would this be a good upgrade for a galaxy s9 that I have sitting around? I use a Note9, and am probably going to wait for the new samsung models to upgrade my phone. Do you think I am getting more value for the s9 here or should I wait?
S9 sells on Swappa for around $150. There aren't any 8T's currently for sale, but recent sales have gone for $560 Mint, $620 new. If you want to pay off the 8T and flip it, you'd get the money back over 24 months from Tmo. You keep the billing credits.

Now, if you're asking if this is a better value than possibly trading the S9 in for an S21 next year, YMMV, since we're talking about trading in a 3 year old phone. We also don't know what the potential trade-in value will be.

Can this deal work with upgrade line with S9 trade in?
S9 is eligible.

S9 is eligible.
So, if I trade in the s9 and get the 8T+, I can pay it off and then sell it if I wanted to? Can I pay it off immediately or should I wait to make sure the credits are being added to account? Can I keep the box unopened, or do I need to activate it first?

Confused
Isn't your OP8 supposed to have a trade in value of $750?

Even this group shows $375
OnePlus: 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G, 6, 6T

Was that $295 based on the condition you selected or something?

My OnePlus 7T is on EIP with monthly credit. I assume I need to pay it off first before trade in, and I can still the remaining credits for my 7T?

when going through the ordering process online with doing the trade in with no new line, on the review order page I see the trade in value for my iphone XR as $196, but I don't see the balance of the $749 as bill credits...rather it shows that I will pay $31.25/month for 24 months.
Maybe it shows up as a bill credit once they receive the trade in phone????
Any help please.

I've read before that it's possible to pay off the phone and still get bill credits (as long as that line remains open for the life of that EIP); however, when I contacted 611 yesterday, I was told that all bill credits will stop if I pay off the phone early.

Please let me know if you pursue this further and can confirm either way. Thanks!

That's the "fair market" value and will get $295, which I'll be paying back at $12.29 per month to T-Mobile over 2 years. Strange..

the S10 series part is confusing. Does the S10e count? If so this is super slick since the s10e didn't cost as much as the 8T when it was new.

Anyone able to go to the upgrade page? the site is going really slow for me.

I have only ever used outright purchased phones and have never done any trade ins, bill credits etc from T-Mo so this is all wildly confusing to me.

I have some old S7's from family members that have moved to iphones. I am the only one holding on Android and sporting an aging S7. I am interested in the Oneplus 8 and it seems like a nice upgrade to me. Anyone have this phone? Any concerns? I skipped over the S20FE a month or so ago due to too many complains I read in this forum.

Can I just bring one of my old unused devices that are still in working condition? Or it has to be one tied to the line? Does Tmobile even check for this? Never dealt with these trade ups so not sure how it works. TIA
