  1. Download Google Pay App (Android or iOS)
  2. Add Qualifying Payment Card to your Google Pay Account
  3. Follow On-screen Prompts and accept terms & conditions
  4. Swipe to "Explore" Tab in the App
  5. Scroll until you find the Target offer
  6. Click to Activate the offer
  7. Click Enroll Card
    • You may need to Click Activate again
  8. Spend $50 or more at Target.com or in-store using the payment card enrolled at Google Pay
    • Once the Reward is Earned, it will be deposited to "Your Money" in Google Pay.
    • You may redeem the cash back reward 30 days after your qualifying purchase.

Do NOT use Paypal or anything other than the "Credit Card" option during checkout folks. Using any other form of checkout even funding it via the same credit card is not the same. Make sure you use the same credit card that you enrolled on your Gpay account too.

Did I do something wrong? I added my card to Google Pay and then used the card on target.com to buy a gift card. It's been thirty minutes and I don't see anything in the Google Pay app saying I qualified.

You needed to go to the Explore tab and activate the offer and make sure you card was eligible to be tracked by Google.

Loaded to gpay and can be used later to make purchases. Or, you can transfer it out to your bank. You cannot transfer the $21 reward to a credit card.

Okay, yeah I did activate the offer and it shows the card I used as an eligible card.

Did I need to order from Target on my phone? I activated the offer on my phone, but then made my purchase on target.com from my computer.

Use the NEW app. Even when installing the old one, it will prompt you to use thr new one.

For those with google verification issues try using your android phone inside of your iPhone. I got asked for a ton of information including all personal IDs and even a selfie in my iOS Google pay app, but when I checked my Google pay app on my android phone, the rewards were already tracking.

I didn't need anything but first/last name, street address & last 4 of SSN. Wife needed everything you just listed. She's currently waiting 48 hours for everything to be processed to confirm her account. I'm hopeful that once her account is confirmed she'll also get the $21 cash back from Target since we already bought the $50 gift card with her account.

Both accounts are WELL established so my only guess to the red flag is that we're both using the same street & IP address. I'm sure there's many red flags that trigger the extra steps.

Signed up for the app (new member) added my card, made sure to activate offer, proceeded to buy $50 ebay GC, Made sure to use my card but still didn't get any $21 bonus. Didn't even get any sort of notification.
