This is available in my area. I'm assuming this will work for basic work from home duties via VPN and the occasional movie watching? I need to replace an 8 year old Dell Latitude that dogs really bad when doing a remote access but don't want to spend a lot since I work from only a couple days per month.

It wasn't in store around me, but I got free shipping. 3.53 lbs is not lg gram, but should work fine.

It looks like both ram and drive are upgradeable. Also there is an empty bay for sata drive in case you want to get an extra large spinning drive

I ordered.

Specs look the same as the $300 Best Buy Lenovo laptop that was popular this Holiday period. The Lenovo has IPS screen, which I think is what made it a deal. How about this Asus?
