I would be more excited if Amazon did this for $25 again like last year. Shoulda bought a couple not just 1 back then
I remember Best Buy had PS+ for $25 during Black Friday sales several years ago during the PS3 era. I think I bought some crazy number like 10 (still have some unused cards). Surprised to hear Amazon went down to $25 last year as I haven't seen it drop that low since. We've gotten close with some of the cdkeys sales recently but still never much below $30.
Buyer beware of cdkeys. Despite all the good feedback and promise of "instant" code, it is not instant. They will require a phone number to send a text to before releasing the code...and it cannot be a google voice or any voip phone number. I ended up cancelling my order after going back and forth with their so called email customer service on just emailing the code as promised in the FAQs. They email a LINK, which then prompts you to enter a phone number to receive a text.
And even if you're okay with that, they instantly put your email on a scam list. Not spam, SCAM! I made the mistake of using PayPal which no longer let's you use any email to have the order confirmation sent to, so they have my real email address that's attached to PayPal. Within in days of buying, my email address I've had over 20 years and kept spam free by only using with family, friends and PayPal, now has emails from:
"Soppurt"
Netflix;
Amazon billing ("your account is on hold due to billing issues, update payment information" with clickable button to do so)
Apple;
Team Netfix (notice the misspelling)
The problem? These are accounts I don't have/and not used with this email/name. But within in days of this company having my email address, I start receiving these phishing emails. Some are going straight to junk folder but even the ones that made it into inbox are clearly phishing (you oughta know the signs), but even more so for me because I don't use that email.
Edited to add: You can find sellers on eBay who will sell to you at the same price or very close that WILL actually send you the code. Just send a question beforehand letting them know you don't want to do a text verification for the code and ask if they can still send you the code.
For what its worth i didn't get my key, and hour later i contacted chat, was told it was a technical issue... and beyond the scope of chat! and to contact support with support ticket etc over email. So i asked to cancel and refund then, cancelled order and refunded me, he said i could try the order again, i probably will later. Kind of disapointed, but i will probably try again and do ebay instead if it fails again.

Yeah, wouldn't trust cdkeys. I used a disposable virtual card last year to try and buy something and was denied for some reason. Months later, I get an alert that this same card was used to try an buy google store credits/gift cards. I had already closed the card, but you should know that buying from them was the only time I every tried using it. So, if you must, use paypal or something.
