Before anyone brings it up, yes Sharp TVs in the US market was made by Hisense started 2015. Foxconn is now the majority owner of Sharp corporate, which sued Hisense in 2018 or so over poor quality Sharp Roku TVs. Started in 2019, Sharp bought back all of its North American operating assets from Hisense and is now making its own TVs again. Based on the model number, I do believe this is an actual Sharp TV and not Hisense.
I bought this huge TV a few weeks ago when it was $499.99. Two people from Best Buy delivered it to my 2nd floor room for free. This Sharp TV is better than my 55" Samsung 6 Series and my 43" LG 7 Series. Its speakers are in the back facing backwards, not downward as reported on Best Buy. The sound bounces off the wall behind the TV which is great. Android TV is great experience. I'm glad I didn't fall for the crappy OS of Samsung and LG. The hybrid remote is lightweight with both IR and Bluetooth connectivity for voice searching. IR works right out of the box. Voice searching requires pairing which takes less than 10 seconds. Everything is fast. Apps load faster than Roku. When you connect a USB thumb drive it becomes part of the system as additional storage I downloaded VLC player from Google Play Store and watched movie files on my USB drive with Bluetooth headphones. Display can be super bright if we want to. Unlike LG we can manually adjust display and sound settings. Built in Chromecast, Bluetooth 5, Google Assistant, 4K HDR 10, Dolby Audio, Wifi, Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, HDMI Arc, Optical output, RCA, Composite and many other features make it future proof for a while. Complete Black screen shows some light patches in a dark room but it didn't bother me for this price range. I wish this had local dimming which is on my 55"Samsung 6 Series. But it's not a deal breaker. Even when local dimming I manually switch my display modes very often. This TV is more energy efficient than its Sony counterpart. It's Made in Mexico which is a plus IMO. I feel that Sharp is working hard to gain it's original Aquos popularity, since it's separated from Hisense in 2019. I'm a super happy owner of this TV. I thought $499.99 was a steal with free delivery to any room. If I needed another TV now I would buy this one again right away.

Dec 20 Update. My TV got a second Android software update yesterday on Dec 19th.
Same reason some cars are 20k and some are 60k. Features and quality of components are the biggest factor. Whether those factors are worth the premium is debatable though.

Purchased this a few weeks back at the same sale price of $499.99 and had it install on our living rom wall to replace and older Samsung 55" LED which came with the house when we bought it back in 2017. Very happy with the purchase of this Sharp 70" TV at this price. Picture looks great and the Android TV OS runs smooth with tons of great features.

Why some tvs for $400 and some are over $3000? Same brand same size.

Yup it is. The easiest way to tell if you are getting a Sharp or Hisense set is by looking at the yellow energy star paper that's stuck on the set. The Hisense made Sharp sets used to say "Hisense Visual Technology Ltd."
The energy star for this set says "Sharp Corporation" so it's made by Foxconn/Sharp

Looks like it says HDMI 2.0 on the specifications on Best Buys site.

Anyone know a way around the "No delivery to your area" issue? I tried to leave it with the OS Zip in place and check out as guest but it won't allow it and no stores have it in stock within 250 miles apparently. I don't suppose anyone has experience with how accurate Best Buy's stock system is?
Edit: and Ik it's Christmas which makes everything out of wack, as if brickseek wasn't already lol
