Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
It's $399, not $429. The deal is still hackable too, so it's a good deal if you look at it that way. Combo kit will be $266 instead of $399 with router or jigsaw.
I don't follow Milwaukee but if this is a hot deal, their tools are overpriced. An equivalent Dewalt XR deal is maybe $250 for the same tools.
Please show me the dewalt deal where you could get latest brushless hammer drill, impact driver, router (or jig saw), two 5ah batteries, a charger, and a case for $250.
This clearly isn't a hot deal by the voting. But you can get the brushless Milwaukee hammer drill, impact driver, two 5ah batteries, charger, and a case for $266. IMO these tools are better than XR and a good price.

Is the router or jig saw returnable or do I need to sell them to get $250?

Hi, do you mind explaining how it's hackable for $266?
Lol.. So how are you going to argue that Dewalt is the better deal when it only included 2 - 2AH batteries whereas the Milwaukee deal includes 2 - 5AH batteries for roughly $16 more. Both of which were deals either way you look at it but all in all the bigger batteries alone make the Milwaukee kit a better deal.

It's not really comparable. That's the dewalt 20v compact drill/driver vs the Milwaukee hammer drill. Obvious tool difference. Obvious battery difference. That dewalt deal supposedly had a free tool as well. But it's still not comparable in terms of the base items. I can show you a ton of different drill/impact combos which are actually apples to oranges.
Example below. Milwaukee M18 brushless compact drill and impact driver with two 2.0batteries, charger, and bag for $199, in stock and not really on a deal.

I don't know what deal you are talking about because this thread is about a drill and impact plus free tool for $439. So no, you pay an extra $190 for larger batteries and red tools instead of yellow. Not $16.

How do you hack it? I've been eyeballing needing this kit for a while and at this price plus the Amex platinum deal it's too good to pass.

For those asking, look at comment 8 by ironclad. Add kit and free item separately. Use jig saw or router.
