Interestingly, Project Farm just release a video on these bottles, if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/a6j1NJkNzwI
Sorry to double respond, Project Farm just did a review and the Hydro Flask came out on top. Also, my friend at work just contacted them because she received a dented one. All they requested was for her to write the date and warranty claim in black marker on the bottle and send a photo and they shipped a new one. In general, I've only seen good things from their customer service. Sorry you had a bad experience.
I got 2 of the Ozark trail 64oz bottles for $16 and have been really happy with them.
18-24oz bottles are just a waste of space to carry for water IMO.
Most of these tumbler brands are about the same quality, really just paying for the name brand on some of these. The Ozarks i have have lasted just as well as my one yeti tumbler.
To each their own though. I was gifted a swell that has that really nice looking wood grain but at only 25oz its easier to just get a pack of the 1 liter water bottles and carry and refill that during the day.
Are these really better than the random Chinese ones online? They are probably all coming from the same factory.
My several-years-old Hydro Flask wasn't insulating and I sent it in for a warranty replacement. So if a lifetime warranty is worth it to you, consider HF over the cheapo ones.
Having had both brands, I think the quality is similar. Neither can really take a beating, but Yeti doesn't have a lifetime warranty like HF does. The lid has a lot to do with the insulation, too, so be careful about getting third party lids.
Hydro flask is very weak and dents easily, rendering the insulation useless. The "warranty" is BS as you have to mail the item to them, so basically you spend $10-12 bucks to mail back an $18 bottle. Better to get something sturdier for less price (thermoflask for example)
