Any comments on these rugs? I like them - simple, not floral. The 6' x 9' charcoal rug for <$64 seems really slick to me.

There is nothing slick about these. I would check Home Depot ones, similar sizes, (I like chocolate brown) for everyday prices around $14 or so. They maybe thinner, not so perfect, but get the job done just as well.

I just did a search at Home Depot for jute rugs, and I don't see any jute rugs for $14 or so. Perhaps you mean a polypropylene rug, this like this one [homedepot.com] for $12? I would agree that HD is a good place to check; thanks for mentioning this.

Sorry, I didn't pay attention to jute or what not. I don't know much about that. I just go with contemporary clean look whatever that brings in. I got these three years ago for 17.xx everyday price, but now they are 24.xx. that's a dramatic increase of 41%+ now. I wish I had bought more spare just in case. They may not be thick or anything, but still good. Most people complain about sides rolling over, for which you may use duct tape or something if need be.

(Your reference one has finished jute and whatever, but size is tiny)

I do not recommend buying rugs from walmart. From personal experience, the reviews do not seem to line up with the quality of what you receive.

Is this what one would consider a high end rug? Something I would be proud of gifting?

Looks like it can attract dust and make perfect settings for any insects to lay eggs.
